What this site is

pat.hinabiprive.com is a personal page. It is Pat writing in the first person about the work she does and why she does it. It sells nothing, promises nothing, and asks nothing of you. Reading it is the whole of the transaction.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, the remedy is simple and costs you nothing: close the tab.

What belongs to whom

The writing, the poem Box of Surprises, the signature mark, the portrait, and the design of this page are the property of Pat, except where stated below. They are protected by copyright and are not in the public domain.

You are welcome to:

• Read it, print it, and keep it.
• Link to it from anywhere, without asking.
• Quote a reasonable extract in a review, article, essay, or post — with attribution to Pat and a link back. This is what quotation is for, and you do not need permission for it.

You need permission for:

• Reproducing the poem in full, anywhere.
• Republishing whole sections as your own, or in a way that substitutes for reading the original.
• Any commercial use — advertising, packaging, merchandise, a product page.
• Using the signature mark or the portrait for anything at all. The mark is an identity, not an asset.
• Training a machine-learning model on this page's contents.

Quoted material

The line from Simone de Beauvoir is quoted briefly, with full attribution, as fair dealing for the purpose of criticism and review. It remains the property of its rights holders and no claim is made over it here. The Ubuntu proverb, the Confucian character ren, and the passage from Aristotle's Politics are attributed where they appear.

Institutional names appear on this site as statements of fact about certificate programmes completed. No affiliation, endorsement, sponsorship, or degree is claimed or implied by any of them, and no institutional marks or logos are used.

This page is written carefully and everything factual on it is believed to be true at the date above. It is a personal statement, not a professional service — nothing here is advice of any kind, and no decision you make should rest on it.
